Summerfest - Cirque du Soleil - Charlottetown - June 30th - July 4th
Cirque du Soleil has created a special outdoor experience that is based on unique Island culture and stories.
This Cirque du Soleil event will be the first creation of its kind to come to Atlantic Canada, and will debut as a highlight of Charlottetown’s all-new family focused SummerFest.
It's a departure from the “under the big-top” shows that over 90 million people have come to know and love, but will be equally as intriguing! The backdrop to this unique outdoor experience will be the incredible Charlottetown waterfront, which will be the centre of activity for SummerFest.

Saturday night will feature Bachman & Turner and Great Big Sea!
Children's activities - Doodlebops, the Swash Buckler Pirate Zone, Children's Characters, and the popular Petting Zoo.
For the sporty minded, a Three on Three Hockey Tournament.
Watch the action at Skateboard and BMX demonstrations and competitions.
Two of Canada's top Urban Artists will create giant murals, and B-Boy Breakdance competitions.
Back by popular demand, SandLand in the form of a sand jungle gym, sand sculptures, a giant sandbox and unique sand signage.
For your viewing pleasure, daily performances of the West Coast Lumberjack Show, complete with log rolling! Buskers will also be roaming with shows all throughout the festival.

Live with Regis and Kelly is headed to Prince Edward Island in Canada and will be taping a total of four shows on July 12-13 (airing July 12-15, 2010), at Confederation Landing Park on the historic Charlottetown waterfront.
Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa will transplant LIVE’s own brand of entertainment-oriented talk to the Island, with the natural beauty of the province providing a colorful backdrop to the show’s celebrity guests and musical performances. LIVE’s viewers will be able to join them in experiencing the wide range of activities that PEI has to offer, as they explore the Island from end to end, and delve into the region’s history, food and culture.
